Brief:

  • To increase brand awareness, prompt trials and drive sales for Cadbury Drinking Chocolate, through the execution of a winter themed high-impact experimental sampling campaign.
  • The Happy Winter Sampling Tour was created to sample 15,000 servings of hot chocolate each week, from an experiential event area, creating fun and memorable interactions with customers.
  • A seven foot tall woolly bobble hat (with internal working fireplace and furry rugs) accompanied a converted sampling van, oversized tub table and a range of theatrical winter themed props, heaters and lighting.
  • Tour visited major shopping areas, office parks and supermarkets across the UK's largest cities, creating over 60,000 new Facebook followers from 100,000 individual interactions in just seven weeks, uplifting sales by over 300%.

Ugo Deli Cafe Panini

Brief:

  • Drive sales for a range of microwavable convenience food, via a targeted sampling road show.
  • Core message was to encourage consumers to purchase from major multiples by converting them with the quality of taste and educating them on ease of preparation.
  • Two highly stylised branded sampling counters were created for indoor and outdoor use and equipped to serve 4,000 individual samples per day, by a team of stylishly uniformed Italian waiter style baristas.
  • The 18 week tour served a total of 300,000 hot samples across retail areas, office parks, train stations, sports events and major consumer shows.

Glorious! Soup

Brief:

  • To drive sales of Glorious! fresh soups across grocery multiples, by encouraging product trial from an individual, memorable sampling unit, reflective of their quirky brand image.
  • A rare 1970's VW pick up, twin cab camper was sourced, restored, branded, kitted out and staffed to serve circa 3,000 hot soup samples per day; across a 16 week tour.
  • Samples were presented by smartly attired brand ambassadors, giving enthusiastic explanations of the quality of produce with print collateral driving sales both from national retailers and the event area itself.
  • Over 120,000 individual samples were served across a range of high footfall shopping streets, seasonal consumer events, major universities and office areas.

Tilda Steamed Rice

Brief:

  • To drive sales of Tilda's range of microwavable Steamed Basmati Rice in front of supermarkets across the UK.
  • A mobile sampling area was created consisting of a catering pod, bank of microwaves, serving counter, product displays and FSDU enabling the immediate purchase of the products from the store foyer.
  • To win market share from the category leader, blind taste test challenges were also carried out, resulting in overwhelming preference for the lighter, flavoursome range of Tilda Rice.
  • Over 100,000 samples across 60 of the largest UK supermarkets were served, uplifting sales upwards of 600% in some stores, with average sales uplifts of over 300% achieved across the board.
