Brief:
To promote the new TV series of Channel 4's crazy Japanese style gambling game show Banzai, to sports fans across the UK.

Campaign Description:
Link Communication supplied teams of costumed, branded promotion staff to hand out 200,000 interactive game cards to sports fans outside of major premiership football matches on the weekend before the new TV series launched. The print was a range of six types of scratch cards, with games reflecting the amusing nature of the TV show (e.g. Which lady do you think is not really a lady?! ). The reverse of the card gave details of the show and hand a competition for recipients to win a holiday to Japan and appear in the show.
Results:
- 200,000 Banzai scratch cards were distributed across 10 stadiums nationwide on one weekend.
- The promotion was an instant success with the public and the scratch cards were extremely well received.
- The distribution work generate over 2,500 competition entrants, which was more than ten times what the client had originally anticipated.
