Brief:

To promote the new show ‘Snow Patrol’ on Discovery Channel at the Daily Mail Ski Show in London.

Target Audience:

Ski and Snowboard Enthusiasts

Campaign Description:

Link Communication designed and custom made mobile ‘ski wings’ for our promotional staff to wear throughout the duration of the show. The specially built unit also had Bluetooth Technology which 'bluejacked' a video clip of the show to peoples mobile phones as they were passing. In order to attract the younger audience we also distributed specially designed “extreme skiing” sticker sheets to the kids and teenagers.

Results:

  • Approx 5,000 leaflets were handed out by the teams at the show.
  • The units looks so good, the team were even able to gain access to the show itself (without additional cost), to execute their activity.
  • The client was extremely happy with the special build project which was the talking point of the show.
  • The Bluetooth technology worked exceptionally well with over 2,000 successful ‘bluejack’ video clips being transmitted to ski fans, throughout the duration of the campaign.
