Brief:

  • To create a unique, exciting and memorable branded promotional vehicle for use during the Glorious! Soup product sampling campaign.

Campaign Description:

  • In order to represent the quirky, free spirited nature of the Glorious! Soup brand, a vintage VW vehicle was sourced and selected for conversion.
  • To allow for high volume, efficient serving of samples at busy locations, a rare pick up, flat bed style van was selected, to house the selection of catering equipment. This also enabled the team of brand ambassadors unrestricted opportunity for interaction with product recipients.
  • The 1975 imported van was stripped back to the bare chassis; sand blasted to remove the years of rust, and built back up, from the ground up, refurbishing or replacing all required components, to provide a solid, road worthy, reliable sampling vehicle and asset for the brand.
  • Once in full mechanical order, the catering area was kitted out with a mix of soup cauldrons, baine maries, and fridges and covered with a canvas roof.
  • Branding was applied over the freshly painted exterior and the look was finished with a collection of 1970’s luggage, strapped to the roof rack, for a true touring look.

Results:

  • Over 100,000 hot soup samples were successfully served from the vehicle (nick-named Gloria), over a total of 16 weeks.
  • The sampling van clicked up a total of 15,000 miles; whilst on tour in its first year of loyal service for the brand.
  • Gloria was utilised across a huge array of both consumer events, trade shows and also for internal company wide events.
