Brief:
To provide branded teams of promotion staff to increase awareness and take-up of seasonal offers and promotions for Martineau Place Shopping Centre & Food Court, Birmingham.
Target Audience:
- Professionals & office workers working in Birmingham city centre.
- Affluent middle aged shoppers in Birmingham city centre.
Campaign Description:
A team of twelve promotional staff wearing branded uniforms, were positioned in office areas, outside train stations, at main bus stops and stations - and on busy walkways across Birmingham city centre during early morning rush hours. After rush hour, when the streets in the city centre were quieter, they visited all city centre offices, SME's and businesses, handing out food vouchers to office workers within each business.
The team went back onto the streets during lunch times, positioned outside all major competitive food courts, on near by walkways and busy shopping areas.
Results:
- 60,000 competition scratch cards, 30,000 expandable menus and 10,000 voucher booklets were distributed throughout the two week duration of the campaign.
- The campaign covered a totally comprehensive range of relevant locations covering all possible recipients within Birmingham city centre.
- The food court received a huge return of the food vouchers, increasing customer loyalty, and encouraging new customers to try to the food court's services.
