Brief:

To promote awareness, generate attendance and obtain data for Ladies' Day at Epsom Race Course.

Target Audience:

Ladies of all ages but with a heavy bias on the over-40's.

Campaign Description:

Link Communication organised a branded event area in Ashley Shopping Centre for a period of two weeks prior to Ladies' Day at Epsom racecourse. The event area was comprised of:

  • A branded car which people could win by entering a prize draw.
  • Branded competition entry forms and ballot box.
  • Branded displays and pop-up graphics.
  • Branded leaflet dispensers.
  • Mannequins dressed in the 'Ladies' Day' style.

The event area was manned by a high-calibre member of the Link Communication promotion team who promoted Ladies' Day, distributed leaflets and encouraged people to enter the competition.

Results:

  • There were over 4,000 entrants in the competition.
  • Over 7,000 leaflets were distributed over the course of two weeks.
  • The client reported that Ladies' Day was a huge success, with record attendance figures.
  • Link Communication continues to promote this event on an annual basis.
