Awareness of radio advertisement campaigns

Brief:

To gauge awareness of radio advertising campaigns for CORGI gas installers in Sunderland, Glasgow and Portsmouth.

Target Audience:

Members of the public who listen to a specific radio station within each area.

Campaign Description:

Teams of four market research staff conducted a simple questionnaire to members of the public on the city centre high streets. The time needed to complete the quota was worked out according to audience listening figures for each city. The campaign ran before and after the adverts aired to measure the impact the radio treatments have had on raising awareness and informing the general public. Link Communication input data onto their online system the day after the results were returned.

Results:

  • Target quotas exceeded in each city.
  • Data collated and summaries sent to client within 12 hours, using PDAs.
