Campaign Description:

  • The team were tasked with determining the views and opinions of local residents for Cumbria County Council’s local improvement task force, through the execution of a market research and data capture campaign.
  • Teams of experienced promotional staff targeted local residences in selected villages in Cumbria, to collate data and verbally promote what Cumbria County Council are proposing to do to improve local services.
  • The staff asked them a series of pre-determined questions, asking residents for their views on the local area and how things can be improved. This information was recorded on a questionnaire form or by PDA. This information was then collated and forwarded onto the client.
  • The promotional staff targeted residents in the high-footfall locations, during peak periods, concentrating on - local supermarkets, village high streets, pubs, stations, post offices, retail parks and markets.
  • In the smaller villages, where there were less people out in the streets, the promotional staff then went house to house, knocking on doors and conducting the activity.

Results:

  • The team worked and achieved over 6,000 fully completed questionnaires, which was 20% higher than client expectations.
  • The data was all typed up within 48 hours of capture, and emailed across to the client for detailed analysis.
