Brief:
To promote awareness and increase website traffic for Poker Rooms' online poker website.
Target Audience:
University students
Campaign Description:
Link Communication promoted and organised ten live poker events targeting students at university. The live events comprised of
- 5 X Branded poker tables with professional croupiers.
- Full PA system with announcer.
- Branded promotional materials including cards, poster, leaflets and poker guides.
- Live website feeds.
- RGB projected light branding.
Attending students had the opportunity to be taught how to play poker on the three beginner tables, before moving on to the three competition tables. Competition games lasted 30 minutes and the winner of each game was given free entry to an online tournament to win £10,000 and also entered in a prize draw to win a car.
Results:
- All ten venues were packed throughput the night and many were at absolute capacity for the duration of the event.
- Over 300 contestants won free entry into Poker Room's online student competition.
- Poker Room were extremely happy with the campaign and reported record account sign ups from student where the events were held.
