Campaign: White mischief

Brief:

To increase trial and drive awareness of the new Kronenbourg white wheat beer called 'Blanc'.

Target Audience:

  • Affluent urbanites

Campaign Description:

By day, a team of six male promotion staff (dressed in white clothes, shoes, hair, faces, etc), accompanied by two female promotional models, dressed from head to toe in branded white lycra suits, paraded up the main high streets in four major cities, distributing print material and promoting sampling events happening in the evening. At night, a white limo delivered the costumed performers to the selected venues: Their arrival creating a huge buzz about the venue as they set about handing out free product samples to customers - and explaining core product features.

Results:

  • 40,000 'White Mischief' flyers were distributed throughout the campaign.
  • 4,000 samples handed out over the duration of the campaign.
  • The key brand benefits were communicated to all in each venue.
  • ALL bars and pubs targeted all sold out of 'Blanc' on the promotional evenings.

To raise awareness and drive sales for the latest monthly edition of Mixmag, dance music magazine.

Campaign Description:

Promotion teams handed out print, detailing the new magazine features, editorial policy, free gifts, etc; outside a selection of the leading dance music venues across the 20 largest cities in the UK, on the weekend the magazine was released.

Results:

  • Approx 1,000 leaflets distributed per venue to core target demographic.
  • 2,000 flyers per city; 40,000 across the UK
  • All activity carried out on the weekend of release.
  • Very narrow targeting provided – all print reaching active clubbers and people who attend dance music events.

Brief:

To promote interest and generate demand for O2's latest mobile services, amongst stylish bar and pub goers.

Bar and pub goers

Campaign Description:

Link Communication provided promotional staff to target specific stylish bars across ten major city centres. The teams entered specific venues and asked / negotiated with bar managers to display O2 branded beer mats on tables, on ledges, on the bar, etc.

Additional volume was left at each venue with the bar managers as stock for them to use the following week. The teams revisited the same bars on a bi-weekly basis building a relationship with each bar manager and restocking them with the O2 branded beer mats.

Results:

  • Over 250,000 branded beer mats where distributed over a three month campaign.
  • The teams built working relationships with over 40 bar managers in each city.
