Link Communication provided a team of two promotional staff dressed in Moss Bros formal hire clothing, simultaneously in ten city centres across the UK. The teams distributed branded leaflets in the city centre whilst holding large directional signs and directing people into the Moss Bros store.

Campaign: Store opening campaigns

Brief:

To provide branded teams of promotion staff to promote new launches or refurbishments of TK Maxx stores across the UK.

Target Audience:

  • Male & Female Shoppers (16-65)
  • Fashion Conscious Young Professionals

Campaign Description:

Branded promotional teams were positioned in office areas during peak mid week rush hours and on busy retail areas during weekends. Teams distributed leaflets detailing store locations, description of offers available in store and a competition to further drive traffic into the stores.

Teams of staff were also provided in close proximity to the stores to hand out branded helium balloons to shoppers with small children and to further inform customers of the in-store competition.

Results:

  • Over 20,000 leaflets were distributed throughout each launch campaign.
  • The message communicated by the promotional teams was clearly delivered.
  • The branded uniforms created a high visual element to the campaign and acted as an excellent lever to allow the promotional staff to approach shoppers and open dialogue about the new store.

Campaign: In Store Event - Sweet Dash promotion

Brief:

To supply promotional girls to manage and promote an in store sweet dash event.

Target Audience:

Female Shoppers 14-35

Campaign Description:

Link Communication organised an in store event for the launch of a new Topshop store in Glasgow. The event consistented of a self contained perspex room, filled with sweeties! Shoppers who spent over £20 were allowed 60 seconds to fill a paper bag full of goodies.

A team of female promotional staff was provided to distributed promotional leaflets outside of the store to generate interest in the promotion, while the event team managed the 'Sweet Room'. They checked all receipts to ensure eligibility for the promotion, informed customers of the rules of the promotion and timed the ‘Sweet Dash’ to ensure every customers had the correct amount of time in the ‘Sweet Room.’

Results:

  • Over 500 happy customers got their fill of sweets on the opening day.
  • The client reported a significant increase in footfall into the store and sales due to the promotion.
  • There was a great deal of interest in the ‘sweet dash’ from the general public.
