Brief:

 

To generate awareness of crime prevention messages and drive traffic towards the Merseyside Police website, with street teams distributing stickers to the target audience across selected areas in Liverpool during peak shopping periods.

 

Campaign Description:

 

  • A team of three high-calibre promotional staff were situated in central Liverpool during the busy Christmas ‘Party’ Season, targeting a female audience. The staff worked across two shifts to vary this audience with shoppers (12pm – 5pm) and young professionals on work evenings out (7pm – 10pm)
  • The promotional girls who were wearing branded pink jackets, distributed small pink stickers to the targeted audience, the staff promoted awareness to “look after your handbag” during the busy Christmas period in conjunction with promoting the chance to win a handbag to help generate interest in the awareness campaign.

Results:

 

  • Over 95% of people that were approached were happy to learn about the awareness campaign and receive a sticker from the promotional staff.
  • Merseyside Police reported that the activity was a great success, attaining extensive press coverage and increasing awareness amongst their target audience.
